GREEN BEANS LAST COLLECTION DAY – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30!
Your Missions and Service Team is collecting cans (15 oz) of green beans for the annual Katy Community Thanksgiving Feast!
Participating local Katy churches will once again partner with Katy Christian Ministries in 2022 to provide all the side dishes needed for families to prepare their own Thanksgiving Feast at home. KCM will distribute a box of feast fixins along with a donated turkey to each family that they serve during the month of November. During the last 2 years, about 1000 – 1100 families per year have received everything needed to prepare their own holiday meal that they might have otherwise gone without.
Last year, HCKaty was asked to supply instant mashed potatoes and did an amazing job of delivering 1131boxes/packets. Other churches had the goal of providing boxed stuffing, canned green beans, canned corn, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, mac and cheese, beans, rice, and a pumpkin dessert.
This year, HCKaty is collecting 15 ounce cans of GREEN BEANS.
GOAL IS 1000 cans.
Help people in need to have a great Thanksgiving by contributing as many cans of GREEN BEANS, as you can! The brand of beans or type isn’t important. Please pick up some cans the next time you are at the store and then bring them on Sunday or during the week. Please drop off your GREEN BEANS in the: Connection Corner (next to the chapel)
The collection of GREEN BEANS will continue through Sunday, October 30th. The following week, they will be taken to KCM to be readied for distribution. All HCKATY CDC Kids are invited to donate one
15oz can OR one case of 15oz green bean cans
(any type or brand) toward making a Katy
Community Thanksgiving Feast possible for those
in our area that otherwise might go without.
Please bring your cans to the lobby area either
outside the church office or to the designated
area inside the education building. Cans will be
collected through Sunday, October 30 th .
